In October of 2021, Lee Wright and Sonya Wright (Smith) were formally intrduced to each other. It didn't take long to see there was something different about this meeting. God works all things in His time. As they began to date it was quite evident almost from the beginning that not only were they going to be united as husband and wife...they would be united in ministry as well! After ernestly seeking to hear God's voice, once they were married and under the spiritual covering and guidance of Bishop James L. Black, in Jaunary of 2023, Elevation Worship Ministries International officially launched in their home.
